Allan Yeoman is a partner in Buddle Findlay's Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice.
He specialises in providing transactional and contracting advice in the technology and media sectors, and regularly advises on data privacy regulation and compliance, and on the risks and challenges associated with cyber threats.

The range of organisations caught in cyber crime continues to grow.
The impact of a cyber attack on an organization can be severe - whether financially, operationally or reputationally - and cyber risk is increasingly a topic for discussion around the boardroom table, rather than being left as something for the IT department to deal with.
This presentation will look at the proactive and reactive steps that organisations can take in dealing with the threat of cyber attacks, and keeping information secure generally.
It is intended to focus more on the non-technical measures that can be taken, having regard to legal obligations of privacy, confidentiality and breach reporting, as well as discussing how organisations can address risk in their contracts with supplier and partner organisations.
