Director, Isis Group
Ian Apperley has been in the ICT industry for twenty-five years.
In addition to strategic consulting he is a freelance writer covering the ICT industry in New Zealand as well as future trends globally.
He lives in Wellington and writes for the National Business Review.
ICT is undergoing significant, tectonic changes on a global scale, however we are not adapting fast enough to those trends.
The old business models and processes are not going to survive the future technology trends.
This session looks at how to prepare for the near-future and make sure that you are ready to exploit the now by throwing out the old and embracing the new.
What are you passionate about that has disrupted the technology sector, or has the potential to?
Come along and share your knowledge in a 5 minute lightning talk, with 1 minute for Q&A. We have some speakers pre-arranged to talk, and absolutely welcome you to share in a spur-of-the-moment of disruption, no slides required!
The session will go for one hour, and at the end you will have the opportunity to connect with those who also share your enthusiasm for your lightning nugget.
Thanks to Ian Apperley for facilitating these talks, and to the following people for being our seeded speakers:
• Clint Van Marrewijk (ThunderMaps)
• Nicolas Erdody (Open Parallel)
• Mike Riversdale (Miramar Mike)
• Josh Vial (Enspiral)
• Ruth McDavitt (Summer of Tech)
