Before founding TechHappy Ltd, Morgan worked as an Industrial Automation Engineer for eight years.
During her time at Streat Automation, she worked for Fonterra, Cadbury, Lion Nathan, General Cable and Solid Energy.
Her work has included design, commissioning and support for PLC, HMI/SCADA and Data Historian systems as well as programming several safety systems in both chemical and mechanical manufacturing environments.
Morgan has a B.Sc. in Electronics from the University of Canterbury and is an ambassador for FutureInTech.
Some time ago, Morgan became the go-to techie person for her friends and family. Then they started telling other people.
Now she is the go-to person for confidential technology advice and mentoring that’s made to work in the real world.
She believes your technology should be supporting your life – not the other way around.

It’s no secret that since the first iPhone release in 2007, mainstream use of the internet has taken off.
Associated education though, is often limited to
highly technical (read: boring), time-consuming or formal education, out of reach of those already in the workforce.
Many of us Kiwis are unaware of the ways we can benefit from, or even be harmed by the evolving technologies in our everyday lives and businesses.
We’re Kiwis – we just get in there and get it done (or put it off until it’s too late), dealing with the consequences somewhere down the line.
This presentation uses plain, non-techie language to educate participants on the process of doing a personalised digital review.
Specific points include the most important topics we should all regularly review to support our digital lives; security and backups.
We all know backups and security are important - so why do we neglect them until it's too late? Or never step back and review if they're actually working?
Individuals need to know what to put in place so digital things don't become a 'mare for them and the tech community needs to point the way. Because #IRL not everyone lives in a perfectly designed and maintained digital world. Yet...
