Steve has 33 years experience in the IT field, including 22 years as a Communication and Engineering Air Force Officer in the Canadian Forces and 11 years as the President of his company.
He started to do process reengineering back in 1995 and has acquired expertise on multiple best practices and standards at that time (ITIL v1, COBIT, ISO, etc).
Steve has participated in quality reviews of the different version of ITIL and many books.
He was the first Canadian to achieve the ITIL Master in its present version.
Steve leads, on behalf of Canada the ISO Sub-Committee 40 (ITSM, Governance and Business Process Outsourcing), and sits on the ISO committees for Security and assessment standards.
Take a guided tour through the intricacies of Continual Service Improvement (CSI).
Steve Tremblay will introduce the ISO standards that exist and guide organisations on how to conduct such assessments.
He will focus on why using an assessment based on a recognised international standard is important to get better quality of results, and consistent results between assessments.
Steve will show two methods based on this ISO standard; the COBIT 5 assessment method and the TIPA for ITIL® assessment method.
He will complete the presentation by presenting the project steps that are critical to a good assessment, including those steps that most organisations struggle with - the initiation, scoping and the SWOT analysis.
Come out of this session with a better understanding of why the assessment is so critical to the success of CSI, the critical steps involved in an assessment and the details of the initiation, scoping and SWOT analysis steps.
