Speaker

Winston Seah

Professor of Network Engineering

As Professor of Network Engineering in the School of Engineering and Computer Science, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, Winston Seah provides leadership in research and work closely with the programme director on the curriculum of the Network Engineering programme. His main research theme is centred around wireless communication networks for extreme environments, like wireless sensor networks powered by ambient energy harvesting, wireless mesh networks in remote locations, underwater sensor networks, etc. He has also started exploiting the flexibility provided by Software-Defined Networking to address these extreme networking scenarios as well as new application scenarios like smart grid communications and vehicular networks.
